Kinch from Phoeniz, AZ is currently opening for Local H in support of their latest EP. The band's name is apparently a reference to the novel Ulysses by James Joyce - and not in honor of the black guy from Hogan's Heroes (also named Kinch)... The band's sound is similar in style to a few different bands depending on who you ask - I would say Ben Folds + Vampire Weekend. You can download Kinch's albums for free on their website: kinchband.com Had I known that, I could have saved 12 bucks and got a couple PBR's at the show! But it was nice to support indie music too.
